Equipoise+ is included in the Scope 3 Peer Group’s Scope 3 Tools Review 🔧
Introducing the Scope 3 Peer Group’s Scope 3 Tools Review
The Scope 3 Peer Group is a cross-industry and global collective of over 2,500 Scope 3 practitioners tasked with achieving supply chain emissions reductions.
Every year, the Scope 3 Peer Group asks its members about the digital solutions they are exploring to measure, manage, report, and ultimately reduce their Scope 3 emissions.
The objective of this review is to ensure that Scope 3 practitioners can confidently select and rapidly adopt the tools they need to run their Scope 3 program.
For this year’s review, the Scope 3 Peer Group has created a list of digital solutions that practitioners can assess, and we’re glad to see Equipoise+ included in this list again.
Equipoise’s clients are encouraged to share their thoughts on Equipoise+’s ability to support their Scope 3 program, and they can do so through this survey.
The results of this review will be publicly launched during the Scope 3 Peer Group’s Strategy Day on the 29th of January, and we’re excited to see them released!
The assessment of vendor Scope 3 capabilities in 2024
As part of the Scope 3 Peer Group’s Scope 3 Tools Review in 2024, four categories of vendor capabilities were assessed:
Collection & Measurement: Vendors were evaluated on their ability to generate hotspot analyses, collect supplier primary data and allow suppliers to calculate their emissions.
Management: Digital solutions were scored for their ability to provide a data quality indicator, create emissions projections, and highlight which areas to focus on for decarbonisation.
Reduction: The Scope 3 Peer Group analysed if vendors could collaborate with suppliers to build their capabilities, share decarbonisation projects and track their progress on these projects.
Reporting: The ability to provide auditable data, create disclosures aligned with standards and ensure that external stakeholders could monitor progress was also evaluated.
One of the main challenges identified throughout this review was that organisations struggled to find a solution that could address all of their Scope 3 needs.
Organisations wished to manage their emissions accurately but also wanted their digital tools to support them with topics such as supplier engagement and value chain data collection.
The 2024 Scope 3 Tools Review was first presented by Gartner in January 2024 and you can access the results and insights for free on the Scope 3 Peer Group’s website.
