Lonza’s sustainability commitments

Lonza aspires to source materials and services from responsible suppliers that meet strict compliance standards and that have programs to reduce their exposure to ESG risks and their greenhouse gas emissions.

They are exploring strategies and initiatives to reduce emissions in their supply chain and drive positive change. By 2028, they expect that suppliers representing 90% of their expenditure will have a sustainability score, with at least 67% of their scope 3 emissions originating from suppliers with science-based targets.

The Supplier Engagement event

Lonza gathered over 1,100 people to help suppliers raise their sustainability maturity and set science-based targets in line with their Responsible Sourcing Programme. This collaborative effort between suppliers and procurement marks a significant milestone in Lonza's journey towards sustainability.

It was an exceptional experience to host this event with Supplier Day and a pleasure to work with the Lonza Responsible Sourcing Team, including, but not limited to, Sila Vogiatzaki, Nathaly Jo, Brad Picker, and Marie Aumuller, to curate it.
